Summary of Work done in Introduction to Computer Science 2008-2009

Summary Reflection of the Year

In the method of your choice reflect on the following: the most important thing you've learned this year, what you've learned about global collaboration, the most interesting new technology you've learned about, and your favorite three things that we did this year in the course. At the end, include your message for how technology should be properly used to improve your education.

This year I have learned how to interact with people all over the world on Flat Classroom Project and NetGen Ed. On global collaboration, I have learned to watch out for people plagiarizing, make sure you don't delete somebody's stuff, and make sure no one deletes your work. One of the most interesting technology that I learned was The Film on the Fly project because it was interesting to do something like it. I hope we get to do it next year instead of the Flat Classroom Project. The three favorite things we did the year was making videos, doing Open Sim, and making robots soon. I think we should use technology more for education because our life is more and more involved in computers and technology. We should use technology for information and data for projects and other classes.

Global Collaboration

I participated in the following global collaborations
Flat Classroom Project 2008
Net Gen Ed
Hippo OpenSim

I did not receive a outsourced video for this video because no one had responded back to my request. Also, I was in India and did not have enough time to think of an idea and ask for a video. This video is made to show a new form of mobile technology called Film on the Fly. This is a fun way to learn how to use mobile technology educationally.

In 3 sentences describe what you studied and did on the NetGenEd Project. Include contextual links.

On NetGenEd Project, we learned how to deal with the stereotypes that is dealt with from the earlier generations to the Net Generation. I was in the Mobiles Freedom group. We made videos and interacted with people all around the world.
