What is it?


Blogosphere is the collective term encompassing all weblogs or blogs as a community or social network.

How does it work?


Many weblogs are densely interconnected; bloggers read others' blogs, link to them, reference them in their own writing, and post comments on each others' blogs.Once you arrive at the blogosphere, it will often have the links that connect you to any of the other sites in the blogosphere.You can bounce around in the blogosphere for years if you want.

Why would anyone want to do this?


Blogosphere can be easly used to create a website with eveyones opinion. In doing this the website can be corrected by all in order to remain accurate

Who uses it?


National Public Radio's programs Morning Edition, Day To Day, and All Things Considered have used the term several times to discuss public opinion.

When was the term invented?


The term blogosphere was coined on Sept. 10, 1999 by Brad L. Graham as a joke. In 2002 it was recoined by William Quick and was adopted and promulgated by the the warblog community.

Where are some websites that are examples?


Sites such as Technorati, Bloglines, Blogdex, Blogrunner, Blog Street, blogger, BlogsNow, and PubSub use the links made by bloggers to track the interconnections between bloggers.
